World’s New Richest Man- Carlos Slim Helu

The man of the new generation- Carlos Slim Helu has won the title as “The World’s Richest Man” over Bill Gates who consecutively for 14 years top the record in Forbes. Carlos Slim Helu has a net worth of over $53.5 billion and has been into telephone business and other infrastructures within Mexico and Latin America.
Carlos Slim Helu is Mexico’s telephone tycoon as he has earned credit for making his company the top telephone company in the country and now, has gained more strength and power having to merge his fixed-assets with American Movil, the biggest telephone company in Latin America.
Grew up as a simple child, Helu is of Lebanese descendant but had his success in Mexico, where he found his career well-driven and productive enough to start his business ventures greatly increasing in the market. He is known to be a simple man only fund of baseball and with no other luxurious lifestyles. He doesn’t even use computers often but states that “Technology is going to transform people’s lives and society everywhere in the world. My main task is to understand what’s going on and try to see where we can fit in.”
In 2005 Forbes estimated his wealth up to $67.8 putting him ahead of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates. He is one modest entrepreneur which most of this generation highly look up to, because he has made dreams come into reality by giving chances to people who lost their jobs and gave them a productive living by also earning in return. He has invested much into losing businesses even during the downturns of such economy but lavishly made multiple-fold profits by reselling them after re-inventing each business venture. Most of his companies are in good standing, since he is a man who sees that hard work will bring you to great places.
