An earthquake is an unstable movement of the earth’s crust which is caused by certain magnetic forces within the inner core thus reacting through dismantling the plates of the earth’s crust. An earthquake can cause severe damages to buildings and structures, injuries and death to people and worst- tsunami, which occurs if the eye of the earthquake happens to be sea-based. Tsunami happens when the sea level raises abruptly due to destabilization of the sea bed thus causes overflow of water throughout its surrounding land.
These are just some devastating facts in which people are traumatized and quite devastated with some tragedies that are happening. Amidst the hurt and pain, here are some ways to help people ease out stress and eventually recover from an earthquake disaster.
Acceptance
By accepting the situation, it would be easier for you to do things accordingly and you can think clearly as to what your next move should be. Most people tend to spend most of their time blaming others, tend be angered by the deaths of their loved ones, deny the truth and be depressed for longer periods of time. These won’t help you ease out the pain that you are feeling, but if you accept it and try to regain strength, you will feel more stress-free and peaceful.
Join help groups
Help groups are there to tend to your emotional and physical needs as well. They are there to guide you throughout your healing process and are support you with what your decisions will be. This is a good outlet for your stress and anger as to what had happened and will be beneficial for your health since you will be coping up so well with the help of this group. You won’t feel lonely having to know that you are not the only one who is experiencing this kind of situation and feel more hopeful knowing that everybody is supporting you.
Move on
When you have fully-accepted the tragedy and have regained enough strength to fight back the pain, it is then the time to move on. Hurtful things always happen and these cannot be controlled. Moving on is a productive sign for you to grow and mature having to cope up very well with bad situations. There is nothing permanent in this world so it is best to stand up and make amends as to what was lost and learn new lessons out of your experiences in life. You’ll be surprised seeing yourself one day having to overcome such circumstances and have a life new beneath the tragedies that had happened.
