Happy New Years Eve 2010!
December 31, 2009 – 11:29 amThe end of the year 2009 is finally here and we want to wish all our readers a happy new year! New Years Eve 2010 will be a final goodbye to a year of difficult economic struggles, wars that continue, a hero named Tiger Woods who fell down, a country named Iran which rises up against its crazy dictator, a Nigerian that managed to alter airport security policies and annoy a lot of people, President Obama, the first black president in the history of the United States to win the Nobel peace prize.
New Years Eve will be one accompanied by a blue moon, the second full moon of the month, a rare occurrence. New Years Eve revelers will be celebrating the end of the year of job losses and world wide economic woes in hopes of a better 2010. Whatever party, club or event you attend, it’ll be party time for sure, with beautiful women dressed in the finest clothes, great shoes, perfect New Years Eve makeup, the champagne and the booze flowing. It’s a time for frolicking, drinking too much and dancing in the streets, depending on what city you find yourself celebrating New Years Eve in.
One of the most exciting places to spend New Years Eve, ringing out the old and bringing in the new – would be New York City, Times Square where you can watch the ball drop. However, you will be subject to heightened security measures this year, which is somewhat a drag. After the Times Square bomb threat which turned out to be a false alarm after all, an abandoned van with blacked out windows.
Today, December 31, 2009, will be the last day to benefit from all the end of year, Boxing Day week specials. Most stores will be clearing out their merchandise from 2009, to bring in new stock. By the end of the shopping day, you can probably pick up some good bargains at all your favorite stores, whether it is clothes, electronics or household items.
And, New Years Eve is a time of making new years resolutions, promising yourself to be more perfect than the year before. Promises such as to lose weight, to stop smoking, to get organized, etc. Whatever your New Years Eve resolution, it is almost for sure you will have failed in a few weeks. Perhaps this is the year to end all New Years Eve resolutions? False promises to the self to be better. Why bother?
So, here’s to 2009, good riddance and may 2010 be a better year for everyone all over the world. May peace and joy finally come to the planet earth.
